New Highlight for World of Dinosaurs
Looking down at visitors at five meters tall, the new Tyrannosaurus Rex at World of Dinosaurs in Wädenswil, Switzerland, definitely lives up to its name: “king of dinosaurs”. Our dinosaur animatronic is the first of its kind in the park. With his terrifying size it towers towards the sky and its mighty roar can still be heard from far away. Its functions include a body moveable by pneumatics. The tyrannosaurus is able to move his arms and torso, turn his head in both directions, open and close his mouth and eyes and whip his tail. Apart from that, smoke machines are installed in its nose, which ejects air from its nostrils. Our experts designed the life-like dinosaur in a period of one year. Major dinosaur animatronics order for the Sauriermuseum Frick
The Sauriermuseum Frick has commissioned us to supply several dinosaurs for the new special exhibition DinoLIVE: Moving Giants of the Prehistoric World. For the first time, animatronics will be used in an exhibition in Switzerland. They are intended to illustrate what dinosaurs looked like in action. We would like to thank the Sauriermuseum for their trust and good cooperation!
A special delivery
One of our customers got a dinosaur animatronic delivered to their home a month ago. The transport was particularly difficult because it was an Achelousaurus. It is 2.5 meters high and almost 6 meters long. So there was no question that we had to work with a transport company that could carry out such special transport. Fortunately, we have our trustworthy partner Lanz AG. In an impressive operation, the dinosaur was lifted onto the trailer of the truck and then secured. At the customer’s home, it was taken off the truck and placed in the desired position in the garden.
Animatra Manufacturing goes Florida! Dinosaur Animatronics in the US
We are thrilled to share this exciting news: Our Animatra Manufacturing dinosaur animatronics are crossing the Atlantic! More specifically, they’re heading to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. We were commissioned to create a Triceratops, a Brontosaurus, a Pteranodon, and two Velociraptors for Universal’s new dinosaur-themed park.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Universal Studios for this incredible experience, valuable dialogue, and trust in our ability to work on a project of this magnitude. After two years of intensive collaboration, production of the ordered animatronics began four months ago, and they are now on their way to Florida. All that’s left for us to say is: Safe travels!
